This National Public Lands Day event is a collaboration between Laramie BikeNet, the Trail FAIRIES, Common Outdoor Ground, the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest, Wyoming Conservation Corps, Wyoming State Parks, Southeastern Wyoming Climbing Coalition, the Southeast Wyoming Outdoor Recreation Collaborative, and the University of Wyoming Outdoor Program and SLCE Office. This event takes place on Saturday, September 28th from 8:30am-1:30pm. Check-in will take place at the Washington Park Bandshell from 8-8:30am. There will be multiple projects with varying levels of experience and labor. Volunteers will hear about each project before selecting their project and traveling to that location.
Transportation will be available for University of Wyoming students. Coffee & donuts will be provided in the morning, and lunch will be provided for volunteers to take to their projects. Materials, tools, gloves, and instructions will be provided for all sites.
Volunteers will be working outdoors. Plan to wear closed toe shoes and bring a backpack suitable to carry your lunch and personal items, extra layer in case of inclement weather, water bottle (2 liters recommended), and work gloves (if you have them).
