The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) is a USDA program designed to improve the health of low-income people at least 60 years of age, by supplementing their diets with nutritious foods. Food Bank of Wyoming is in need of volunteers to pick up food boxes and deliver them to the income eligible older adults. You must be at least 18 years old to volunteer for this position.
Volunteers must be comfortable interacting with the community, be courteous and personable. Physical requirements include ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs., occasionally carry boxes up flights of stairs, and be comfortable moving equipment like dollies and hand trucks. Your volunteer shift will most likely be after the hours of 4:00pm and take about 60 minutes. Your schedule will vary based on the route you are assigned. Registering at least one week in advance improves chances of either being assigned a route.
