The UW Food Share Pantry will be receiving 20,000 pounds of food donated by the Black 14 "Mind, Body, Soul Initiative." Volunteers are needed to help move cases of food from Simpson Plaza to the basement of Knight Hall. This work will involve loading cases of food on to hand trucks, pushing hand trucks to the basement, and unloading/stacking boxes in the storage space. Volunteers should dress appropriately for spending a significant portion of the time outside. Three shifts are available and volunteers may sign up for more than one shift.
Here is what you need to know:
If you are arriving at Noon, please meet in Knight Hall 102 for instruction before we begin.
If you are arriving at 1 or 2, there will be a sign on Simpson Plaza indicating where to meet. A staff member will meet you here to provide instruction.
Lunch will be provided.
