Fighting for health, education, and financial stability of every person in Albany County

Every year United Way of Albany County partners with over 70 local businesses and 800 community donors to support nonprofits improving the health, education, and financial stability of the residents of our county. Together we can help create better lives for so many of our neighbors in need.

 Through community support we:

Create strong starts for children. Resources like Laramie Head Start, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Developmental Preschool and Daycare ensure that all kids receive high-quality education and the tools necessary for their development. Over 800 Albany County children received support from United Way partner agencies.

Provide safe affordable homes and warm meals. Programs like Albany County SAFE, Family Promise, Laramie Soup Kitchen, and Laramie Interfaith provide support to those most in need. Last year over 3,000 individuals received shelter or free healthy food in Albany County.

Give more adults educational support and community connections. Resources like My Front Door, Eppson Center for Seniors, and Wyoming 211 assisted over 2,000 individuals in furthering their careers, becoming homeowners, and connecting to services. All helped make our local economy stronger.

Improve health care access. Programs like Ark Regional Services, Downtown Clinic, Hospice of Laramie, and Laramie Reproductive Health provided over 2,000 residents with connections to critical health services and care. Every person in our community should have access to what they need to have a stable, healthy life—not just to survive, but to thrive.

Here in Albany County, we take community-building seriously, with a hyper-local focus on improving education, financial stability, and health.
