The Annual Cheyenne Christmas Parade features more than 100 brightly illuminated floats, horse drawn wagons, bands, antique autos, dancers, performers and colorful marching groups. It lasts over an hour and is considered one of the finest Christmas Parades in the Rocky Mountain area. While the parade takes place, the Wyoming State Museum will be offering our space as a festive place for people to warm up with free hot chocolate or apple cider. We will also have our galleries open, restrooms available, and a holiday photo booth.
We need a few volunteers to help! Roles include serving hot chocolate and cider, running the photo booth, and handing out flyers at the parade.
BENEFITS:
Volunteers will interact with Cheyenne families and community members, develop event skills, and get to know the staff of the Wyoming State Museum. Volunteering in this role may lead to future opportunities working in the museum’s collections, education, and community engagement departments.
